Privacy
This site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts and no forms, and asks you for nothing.
Stored in your browser
When you read, the site saves your place in each work, your bookmarks and highlights, and your choice of page colour and text size, in your browser's local storage. That information never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Taking your reading to another device
Take your reading to another device packs your place, bookmarks and highlights into a link and a QR code. It all travels in the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server, so it does not pass through our host or our analytics. Nothing leaves your device unless you share that link yourself, and anyone you give it to can see what is in it. The other device only adds it once you confirm.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. It sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit and your approximate location. SeeGoogle's privacy policy.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records requests as they are served: the page requested, the time, an IP address and a browser user-agent string. That is used to serve the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's own retention policy. We hold no separate copy.
If you write to us, we have your email address and whatever you put in the message. We do not add anyone to a mailing list and we do not pass addresses on.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland. Ask at .
